PETITION UPDATE

Update on Sept 13 Court Hearing

United States
SEP 12, 2016 — Good Evening Petition Supporters,

We’ve been informed that Magistrate Judge McCoyd will be ordering a competency evaluation on Mr. Avery. As a result, next Tuesday’s court hearing (9/13) will be reset to a future date.

Currently, we do not have any additional information regarding a new court date. As soon as we do, we’ll let you know.

DeKalb County Code Enforcement Office has issued 8 additional citations to the original 5. They will continue to monitor the property on a regular basis for continued and additional violations. A component of the continued dialogue with the County is that we remain visible, vigilant, vocal, and documented regarding the issues at the property.

Residents of the area and supporters of the petition can file a complaint with the Count at:

or call 404-687-3700.

Thank you again for your support. The process is slow but moving.
