Code Enforcement Update re 1840 Mason Mill
We are still waiting to hear when the code enforcement trial requested by this property owner takes place.

In the meantime, DeKalb County Code Enforcement continues to issue violation tickets to the property owner for the number and placement of signs.  DeKalb Police are very aware of this property owner’s behaviors, in addition to his code violations.  To date, his behaviors are not considered to be illegal.

We have faith in the attorneys working in the county’s Solicitor General’s office and believe that some resolution of the signage matters will occur in 2017.  Additional civil litigation may need to be filed to stop the other behaviors.  We will keep you updated in the New Year if plans are made to pursue that additional strategy.
