The Day of the Lord

¹⁸ Woe to you who long
for the day of the Lord!
Why do you long for the day of the Lord?
That day will be darkness, not light.
¹⁹ It will be as though a man fled from a lion
only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.
²⁰ Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light—
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

²¹ “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
your assemblies are a stench to me.
²² Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
²³ Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
²⁴ But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!

Amos (prophet) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Amos (/ˈeɪməs/; Hebrew: עָמוֹס , Modern Amos Tiberian ʻāmōs) was one of the Twelve Minor Prophets. An older contemporary of Hosea and Isaiah, Amos was active c. 750 BCE during the reign of Jeroboam II, (786–746 BCE). He was from the southern Kingdom of Judah but preached in the northern Kingdom of Israel. Amos wrote at a time of relative peace and prosperity and neglect of religion. He spoke against an increased disparity between the very wealthy and the very poor. His major themes of social justice, God's omnipotence, and divine judgment became staples of prophecy. The Book of Amos is attributed to him.

Two of his teachings are:

Prayers and sacrifices do not make up for bad deeds.
Behaving justly is much more important than ritual (Amos 5:21-24).

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. ² Five of them were foolish and five were wise. ³ The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. ⁴ The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. ⁵ The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

⁶ “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

⁷ “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

There were so many things wanting to say to our Rev. Dr. Beth by the time today's Sunday service over.

Somehow...
managed keeping it brief.

Couldn't help but notice how she seemed somewhat amused, the way she answered, when affirming she knew something of this restraining order being held against me by the Emory Police; a restraining order supposedly barring me from coming onto the campus of Emory and/or the grounds of Glenn Memorial Methodist Church located also on the grounds of Emory University.

Couldn't help but notice how she seemed somewhat amused, again the way she answered, or didn't answer  when confirming to her this restraining order does not exist; having personally made four trips to the Emory Police inquiring about this restraining order.

She definitely knows more about this active file than I do.

I'm certain of this.

All I know...so far...that there is an active file with the Emory Police that hasn't been closed yet.

Nor...
even certain why it is active in the first place.

Have been unable getting a copy of this file; or even answers to point blank questions about this file.

 me fucking up with this crystal meths addiction of mine than them being part of one's recovery of someone refusing becoming another trophy (confirmation bias of which too much already) so highly sought after, valued, by these supposedly
"people of faith".

No doubt in my mind, 

these shepherds are all butchers as well!
