About Me

My photo
Hearing impaired (tendency to appear dumb, dense, and/or aloof), orthodox atheist (believe faith more harmful than doubt), self depreciating sense of humor (confident/not to be confused with low self esteem), ribald sense of humor (satorical/mocking when sensing Condescension), confirmed bachelor (my fate if not my choosing), freakish inclination (unpredictable non-traditionalist opinions), free spirit (nor conformist bohemian) Believe others have said it better...... "Jim! You can be SO SMART, but you can be SO DUMB!" "Jim! You make such a MARTYR of yourself." "He's a nice guy, but...." "You must be from up NORTH!" "You're such a DICK!" "You CRAZY!" "Where the HELL you from?" "Don't QUITE know how to take your personality." My favorite, "You have this... NEED... to be....HONEST!"

There's always ONE person to ruin things for EVERYONE!
People living in a DeKalb County neighborhood say they have been terrorized for years. It's an upscale area in Toco Hills only about a mile from the CDC and two…

John Statham There are two ways to look at that whole situation. And then it would depend on which side you fall on.

James Avery It sure would have been nice of CBS46 letting me know they did another news piece about me. I'm getting sick and tired of not being included in on these discussions. ONLY THING STOPPING BAD GUY WITH GUN IS GOOD GUY WITH GUN? On March 28, 2013, court documents released from the investigation showed that the school shooting had occurred in the space of less than five minutes with 156 shots fired. This comprised 154 shots from the rifle and two shots from the 10mm pistol. Lanza fired one shot from the Glock in the hallway and killed himself with another shot from the pistol to the head. BAD GUNS ... ARE ... GOOD GUNS! WHEN COMPARING BETWEEN ANY TWO GUNS, THE ONE MOST EFFICIENTLY PRODUCING THE DESIRED INTENTIONS THE GIVEN AMOUNT OF TIME BE THE BETTER OF THE TWO GUNS. When comparing my bubbles blaster with the two guns used by Adam Lanza this national tragedy, which gun would you pick to be the better of the two guns? WHY DID THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD? IT AIN'T GOSSIP IF TRUE! THE REST...JUST SURVIVORS BIAS!

DeKalb County Police seem to have convinced themselves that a man screaming offensive language to every person he sees, including children, is some kind of free speech issue.

Andy Mitchell My first question is if were sure he's not mentally disabled.

If he's not, may as well start shouting back at him. Give him a taste of his own. What's he gonna do? Shout more.

Aimee Marie Germain He clearly is in need of psychiatric care but that doesn't change the fact that there's virtually nothing they can do to stop him. He's on his own property.

Andy Mitchell Aimee Marie Germain that what I wondered. Plus, these days people have managed to get so outrageous, I wouldn't be surprised if he's just a troll IRL. Who knows.

Keith Robinson to everyone saying "what about disturbing the peace" City ordinance does not remove your right to free speech and the supreme court has upheld this. You cant yell thing like fire in a crowded movie house, or shark while on a beach, but just because you don't like what he is saying doesn't remove his right to say it.

Jennifer Silvers Trimble But, if he is cursing at children that could be considered child abuse. He technically could be arrested for that.
Manage
Rhenna Neill Tinney But it is illegal to curse at and/or around children.
Manage
Keith Robinson Georgia says it is, does the supreme court??
Manage
Angelika Moore For one thing, don't blame the Police, they don't make the laws. Also, is here not some obscure law on the books in GA (to the best of my recollection) that prohibits the use of "fighting words" in public? Seriously, I think there is. So, out of curiosity, if somebody slaps the tar out of him, is that also justified? LOL

Jennifer Silvers Trimble I think the use of fighting words means that if someone beats the crap out of him, if he used fighting words to provoke it then the other person is justified in their actions.

Angelika Moore Geoff Carroll And what "message" exactly is to be liked or disliked if he screams, cusses, and is generally obnoxious to the public at large?

Jason Harris That headline is a bit slanted isn't it? "Seem to convince themselves"? I'm pretty sure by this point someone in Dekalb police has talked to a lawyer on some level ( if it is really on going) and have been advised. I mean after all the bashing done by the media most departments don't do much without a lawyer...

Keith Robinson and ALL cities retain lawyers for this reason, so any department can get legal advise on issues for doing their job.

Nia Webb He doesn't have Tourette's Syndrome. I work in the area and walk by his house daily. He doesn't exhibit the signs of Tourette's. He is fully aware of what he is saying, and unapologetic about it. It's not just verbal, he has signs in his yard. I cannot, of course, say it isn't some other form of mental illness, but it isn't Tourette's. Honestly, I think the guy is just a jerk and enjoys annoying other people.

John Guzzardo More likely the police consulted the city attorney and they said there's really nothing they can do. He's not physically attacking anyone and, aside from a meth addiction admission, he's really not doing anything but being really annoying.
Manage
Melissa Cheney-Turgeon Then let's see him act like this in the Police Chief's neighborhood or a County Commissioner's neighborhood. I have a feeling it would suddenly be a considered a dangerous situation and a threat
