About Me

My photo
Hearing impaired (tendency to appear dumb, dense, and/or aloof), orthodox atheist (believe faith more harmful than doubt), self depreciating sense of humor (confident/not to be confused with low self esteem), ribald sense of humor (satorical/mocking when sensing Condescension), confirmed bachelor (my fate if not my choosing), freakish inclination (unpredictable non-traditionalist opinions), free spirit (nor conformist bohemian) Believe others have said it better...... "Jim! You can be SO SMART, but you can be SO DUMB!" "Jim! You make such a MARTYR of yourself." "He's a nice guy, but...." "You must be from up NORTH!" "You're such a DICK!" "You CRAZY!" "Where the HELL you from?" "Don't QUITE know how to take your personality." My favorite, "You have this... NEED... to be....HONEST!"

New Interactions Class
series
begins July 12
What is this thing called love?

Join the Interactions Class in room 206 following the 9am worship service for a new class series beginning Sunday, July 12. You just might get some answers to this age old question. Remember this Cole Porter tune?

What is this thing called love? This funny thing called love?
Just who can solve its mystery? Why should it make a fool of me?
I saw you there one wonderful day You took my heart and threw it away.
That’s why I ask the Lord in heaven above What is this thing called love?

Rev. Steve Fazenbaker
will kick off this lively discussion on Sunday, July 12,
followed by
Rev. Josh Noblitt on July 19,
Rev. Kim Sorrells on July 26,
