About Me

My photo
Hearing impaired (tendency to appear dumb, dense, and/or aloof), orthodox atheist (believe faith more harmful than doubt), self depreciating sense of humor (confident/not to be confused with low self esteem), ribald sense of humor (satorical/mocking when sensing Condescension), confirmed bachelor (my fate if not my choosing), freakish inclination (unpredictable non-traditionalist opinions), free spirit (nor conformist bohemian) Believe others have said it better...... "Jim! You can be SO SMART, but you can be SO DUMB!" "Jim! You make such a MARTYR of yourself." "He's a nice guy, but...." "You must be from up NORTH!" "You're such a DICK!" "You CRAZY!" "Where the HELL you from?" "Don't QUITE know how to take your personality." My favorite, "You have this... NEED... to be....HONEST!"

Behind me as I'm making a fool of myself out in front of my house for the world to see, most especially those leaving Emory University at the end of the day, is a mock crime scene of St. Mark United Methodist Church downtown Atlanta; any Methodist church really as the same could be said of Glenn Memorial UMC Emory University and First United Metodist Church growing up with my hometown of Prescott, Arkansas.

The Mikey Mouse tied to the center chair is my guerrilla art intepretation of Christ/Anti-Christ (WWJD today). The balloon represents my interpretation of John 3: 1-15 (minus flesh equals water and spirits). The nine victims in a circle around the duck pond(bucket list) represents the nine victims of Raliegh S.C. church shooting that could just as easily have been nine homosexual or "FAG" enablers of St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Absolutely refuse letting this church, roughtly 80% gay men with a sprinkling of lesbians play this Hagar and Ishmael game with me.

"Water water everywhere and all the boards did shrink.
Water water everywhere nor one drop to drink."

Rev. Dr. Beth, the senior pastor of this church, just loves reading from the Book of Ecclesiates; anything having to do with "wind".

She's about to learn that the Ancient Mariner is also another good example of how our peripatetic winds work.

And of course, there will be a tidal surge ahead of those having the force of gail winds.

I AM THE IMMORTAL JELLYFISH!!!

LOL

"LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! If I hear God is LOVE one more time I'm going to scream!"

I was only being sarcastic, when commenting, about going home and coming back with a water pistoI as I left worship service early one morning. And to make this story even more ironic,I said this to a black female security guard hired as extra security in response to the recent SCROTUS ruling in favor of gay marriages.

LOL

I have all kinds of "living words in the flesh".

FLAGGING DANCE: LOOK BUSY! JESUS IS COMING!

Just my way of getting back at Emory University's Office of the President and Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church located on their campus for all the low-down dirty shunning tricks they have been playing against me because of being an avowed practicing radical atheist as an adult although raised Methodist as a child.

I'm... insisting... the Methodist Church accept some responsibility for failing me as a child if they are to fault me in any way as the man I am today.

As we must first be introduced to God before being aware of God; as I was practically born into and raised with the help of the First United Methodist Church of small rural mill town of Prescott, Arkansas; up until graduating high school; the first eighteen years of my life the most impressionable years of my life:

The only God I need answering to and they need answering back is... Methodist!

And I'm throwing in Atlanta's TOG (THE GAY ONE) St. Mark United Methodist Church to round out a nice balance. There is nothing a miracle about the Miracle of rPeachtree Street. As there are only so many homosexuals for the churches splitting among themselves should they choose to do so, this is called demographic; nothing more, nothing less. The Baptist Church eventually torn down simply did not care to split the difference.

"What's the point of being crazy
if you can't have fun with it?"
~(John Nash:  BEAUTIFUL MIND  :Alicia Nash)~

(CNN)John Forbes Nash Jr., the Princeton University mathematician whose life inspired the film "A Beautiful Mind," and his wife died in a car crash Saturday, according to New Jersey State Police.

Nash, 86, and Alicia Nash, 82, were riding in a taxi near Monroe Township when the incident occurred,   State Police Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams said. The car crashed into the guard rail, and they were ejected from the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Nash, widely regarded as one of the greatest mathematicians of the 20th century, was known for his work in game theory, and his personal struggle with paranoid schizophrenia. Alicia Nash, an MIT physics major from an aristocratic Salvadoran family, has been credited with saving his life after schizophrenia derailed his career in the 1960s, letting him into her home and looking after him even after they divorced in 1963.

As the couple's biographer, Sylvia Nasar, wrote in the 1998 book "A Beautiful Mind," "It was Nash's genius ... to choose a woman who would prove so essential to his survival."

The 2001 Oscar-winning film "A Beautiful Mind" starring Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly has been called "a piece of historical revisionism," leaving out his child from a previous relationship and glossing over his reputation for being difficult to work with. But it drew accolades for its depiction of mental illness while bringing attention to Nash's accomplishments, which earned him the 1994 Nobel Prize in Economics.

Nash called the film an "artistic" interpretation based on his life of how mental illness could evolve -- one that did not "describe accurately" the nature of his delusions or treatment. Unlike Crowe's character, who comes to rely on medication for treatment, Nash said in a 1994 interview it had been decades since he had taken medication.

He spoke of mental illness as often having "an unfavorable course with history in the sense that people never really recovered to what you can call mentally well. They become what are called consumers of mental health organizations. They are always taking some sort of a pill."

Flagging dance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Flagging dance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: The art of flagging dance, often called flag spinning, flag dancing, or rag spinning, but more commonly referred to as flagging, is the undulation, spinning and waving of flags in a rhythmic fashion to music. Practitioners of this form of performance art and dance are usually referred to as "flaggers" and "flag dancers".

The added weights to the otherwise loose fabric made it possible for the new flaggers to spin and move the fabric through the air in ways similar to fan dancing, but with the added maneuverability of a very flexible material. Flags used by these new flaggers can be of almost any fabric, but silk, organza and lamé are preponderant, with silk being the most favored. Silk flags are usually dyed in vibrant, ultraviolet fluorescent colors, creating an almost hypnotic spectacle when waved rhythmically to music.

Note that this type of flagging, while similar, is distinct from the waving of flags on poles or rods as one would encounter in a color guard unit of a high school or in the military.
