About Me

My photo
Hearing impaired (tendency to appear dumb, dense, and/or aloof), orthodox atheist (believe faith more harmful than doubt), self depreciating sense of humor (confident/not to be confused with low self esteem), ribald sense of humor (satorical/mocking when sensing Condescension), confirmed bachelor (my fate if not my choosing), freakish inclination (unpredictable non-traditionalist opinions), free spirit (nor conformist bohemian) Believe others have said it better...... "Jim! You can be SO SMART, but you can be SO DUMB!" "Jim! You make such a MARTYR of yourself." "He's a nice guy, but...." "You must be from up NORTH!" "You're such a DICK!" "You CRAZY!" "Where the HELL you from?" "Don't QUITE know how to take your personality." My favorite, "You have this... NEED... to be....HONEST!"

Dr. Charles Denson Avery, M.D.

My sister was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas right after they got married.  My brother born Fort Knox, Kentucky.

I was born January 14, 1962 at the Cora Donnell Hospital.

Kid on the Porch.

First United Methodist Church of Prescott, Arkansas
Front Row:  Far Right

Most of this stuff I learned about my father just recently.  My sister being seven years older than me had all these articles in her scrape book...for her school projects I guess.  My brother and sister were army brats. I was born and raised same town as my father. Didn't even know my father ever attended church until my mother came across this last group photo of my dad taken beside the Methodist Church she thought I would like to add to my collection of photos just now starting all these years later after my father had already died.   I was practically raised by this same church right up until graduating Prescott High School.

Apparently same as my father.
