Julie Tucker I'm of the opposite view from the people interviewed. The signs are mostly incoherent and the displays are trashy, but it's his yard. I'd be much more concerned by him standing at the edge of his yard (in costume?) yelling at traffic all day. I would definitely want to steer very clear, as that does not sound like the actions of a stable person.

Carole Hawkins Aguirre I don't think most people understand what freedom of speech means. Your freedom ends when you start to take away someone else's freedom. You are not allowed to threaten or incite to riot. You are not allowed to yell Fire! In a crowded theatre if there is no fire.

Charles Langevin You don't have a right to not be offended. If you read the footnote on the case about yelling fire in a crowded theatre, you'll see we do have a right to do so, but if anyone is injured or killed in the resulting stampede, you can be held civilly and/or criminally liable.

Mandy Brown I drive by this guy's house every day on my way home from work with my two year old in the back seat - it isn't just the signs. I've had my window rolled down before and he's yelled at me (something incoherent - I couldn't understand), he flips everyone off who drives by, and he's even pointed his hand directly at at me in a"mock gun" fashion as though he's pretending to shoot you (did it to every driver that day). He looks you straight in the face as he does these things - and it's unnerving, especially with my baby girl in the back seat.

But do I get any thanks for keeping the leaves blown off not only my section of sidewalk but also the stretch of sidewalk running along back side of my neighbors fence and Mason Mill Road...anyway? Mike Fleming Unincorporated Dekalb does not have Homeowners Associations with rules that would force him to clean up the yard. Not the same thing, but a smaller example is that another neighbor nearby has a 20-year-old swing set and jungle gym in the front yard that are rusted and unused. Can't get them to just trash it.

Jazmyne Alon He can post whatever signs he wants, but he becomes a safety hazard when he's threatening to shoot drivers (making mock guns with his fingers and pointing them at drivers), yelling racially insensitive obscenities, and threatening people in general.
