There's no point in me bringing my shoulder pack with me to tomorrows hearing. Just too much anticipating, trying to minimize, what might be helpful for me bringing to these hearings. Most of it's uploaded to my blogs anyway? Or I know where looking for them on the internet. Just love Wikipedia!
Just too bad fast speed internet connection not a standard for every courtroom now-a-days!
Still think it would have been helpful to my case had we taken advantage of that blank wall behind us as a gallery for my signs offsetting these neighbors of mine... attempt...influencing the judge's decision with... their... presence.
You keep saying the petition has nothing to do with the trial.
BUT THE GALLERY IS THE PETITION!

Don't go fooling yourself about my neighbors not being the ones who are on trial.

Rainbow Advocacy
In 1972, The United Methodist Book of Discipline was amended to include language that specifically excludes homosexuals. Over the years, Glenn has actively sought ways to respond to this exclusionary issue.
In 2004, the Naomi Circle submitted a resolution at the North Georgia Annual Conference calling to eliminate the discipline’s language. While it did not pass, it was a step forward in awareness.
In 2011, after a group of retired United Methodist bishops wrote a letter urging the removal of language from the Book of Discipline that discriminates against homosexuals, Glenn formed The Common Table to prayerfully research, review, and discuss feelings surrounding the retired bishops letter. After almost a year of dialogue together, The Common Table drafted a statement of support and Glenn established the Rainbow Advocacy Group to discern its continuing role regarding the issue of homosexuality in the church.
Rainbow Advocacy worked diligently to educate Glenn about the Reconciling Ministries Networkand the possibility of becoming a Reconciling Church. Glenn hosted speakers and lecturers on the topic, held a three-week book study, and offered four listening sessions as avenues for conversation and discussion.
In October of 2014, Glenn held a Church Conference to vote on becoming a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network. The vote passed by 87%. It was quite obvious from the turnout of our membership for this important decision, and by the speakers who spoke both in favor and in opposition to the motion, that the life and ministry of Glenn is a central concern and commitment to every person gathered.
Glenn’s journey to reconciliation has been long, but marked with much dialogue, discovery, and in recent years, significant milestones. 2015 has revealed another such milestone: Glenn was awarded the Emory University Office of LGBTQ Life’s Outstanding Ally of the Year Award. At Emory’s 23rd annual Pride Awards on March 3, Glenn was recognized for its creation of an inclusive, respectful and safe climate for the Emory LGBTQ community. What an amazing acknowledgment of Glenn’s efforts to promote equality and understanding and yet another example of Emory and Glenn’s long standing and strong partnership.
Glenn is, has been and will continue to be a place of openness and welcome as we strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. May God guide us into the future as we seek to be a community of faith dedicated to loving God and loving neighbor.

As I have written this, I have realized there are far more than just five things POTUS could learn from lawyers. I’ll save that for another post. Ill leave you with the insightful words of Holcolme Perry, a former President of the State Bar of Georgia. As you read his beautiful words, replace “”lawyers” with “people” and you’ll get the gist of how I think POTUS can learn alot from lawyers. “The actions and sayings of one lawyer reflect credit or discredit on the rest of his professional brethren in the eyes of the public. The interests of all lawyers are inextricably woven together. Through such an organization, with all lawyers participating, we will come to have a better appreciation of the fact that we are all members of a great and honorable profession of which we should be proud, a more adequate understanding of our mutual problems, a keener knowledge of our faults and our virtues, with a mutual determination to eliminate the former and preserve and enhance the latter; and finally we will have the opportunity of establishing among ourselves a sense of brotherhood, mutual respect and trust and through all of this to strive diligently to improve the administration of justice in our state.”

How Do You Know if You Have the Gift of Discernment?
Updated on December 7, 2017
Gift of Discernment
Spritual Gift of Discernment
I don’t know about you, but I am intrigued with the spiritual gifts that God grants to every believer.
The Gift of Discernment is just one of many gifts of the Spirit. In this writing, I will list the manifestations of the Gift of Discernment. I hope to help you identify if you possess this gift and, if you do, to Glorify the God who entrusted you with it.
I will also list some of the other spiritual gifts. As you browse through these gifts from God, take note of His graciousness and goodness. It is God who enables us to minister and bless with the gifts He has given His children.
Other Spiritual Gifts
Just like the physical body has different parts and all of them work together (the hand combs the hair, feeds the body, satisfies the itch - the feet carry the body where it must go - the eyes show us what we need to see etc;) so is with spiritual gifts. Here are some scriptures listing the Spiritual Gifts God bestows on His children:
- I Corinthians 12:27-28 lists:Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first, apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of healing (service) of guidance and of different kinds of tongues.
- Romans 12:5-8 lists: So in Christ, we who are many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach, if it is encouraging, let him encourage, if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously, if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
- I Cor. 12 1-14 lists: Wisdom, knowledge, discerning of spirits (human, angelic, demonic), speaking in Tongues, interpretation of Tongues, prophecy, Faith, working of miracles, healing.
- Ephesians 4:11 lists: Apostolic, Prophetic, Evangelical, Pastoral, and Teaching.
God gives different gifts to each of His children to minister and complement the various needs of the body of Christ.
Some of his children are entrusted with one spiritual gift, others are blessed with several spiritual gifts. Each of us is accountable to use the gift(s) God gave us to bless others and to glorify Him.
Some of the gifts God entrusts to us are plain to see and easily identified by others. Other spiritual gifts, like the gift of a servant, are not so quickly identifiable. These inconspicuous spiritual gifts do not draw attention to the person who carries it; in fact, they often go unnoticed by people but never to the God who gave them the gift.
A spiritual gift is a trust ... a sacred trust that God has given to every believer.
Each spiritual gift is clearly identifiable.
As you read the list above, quoted from scripture, did you recognize one or more unique characteristics that are active and evident in your life?
It is important for every believer to know what their spiritual gift is so they can glorify God and use it to minister to others. Knowing your gift is just the beginning. Understanding it's manifestations and how to use it takes insight and discernment.
Your gift was given to you so you might minister to the body of Christ and win others to Him.
To demonstrate the manifestation of a spiritual gift, I will illustrate by story and application for four of the gifts.
- The gift of mercy,
- The gift of helps
- The gift of teaching
- The gift of a prophet
Gift of Mercy: Let me tell you about my friend Betsy. Betsy has the gift of mercy. When you tell Betsy about a hurt in your life her face expresses deep empathy and compassion, you can literally watch it rising within her. Betsy feels your pain and may even cry with you. People feel understood when they share their hearts with Betsy; they feel loved too by a genuine heart of caring. Betsy shares her time and attention freely. When you need a friend, Betsy is your girl. Betsy must learn, though, to guard her heart. As Betsy’s heart of compassion fills with hurt, it is easy for her to pick up and carry pain. She must learn to turn those cares over to Jesus or other people’s pain will consume her.
Gift of Helps: Sharon serves with her whole heart. It is a natural thing to her. When Tommy spills the milk, she is the first one to jump up, grab a towel and sop up the mess. Sharon does not draw attention to herself but quietly does what God called her to do - serve. When she sees a need her servant's heart goes after it, meeting that need.
Gift of Teaching: Tony has the gift of teaching. His gift enables him to take a tough concept and break it down into a thought that is easy to grasp. He also has an uncanny ability to tell stories and give examples which help people to embrace the practical application and apply it to their life. The gift of teaching makes Tony a powerful influence. People seek Tony out for wisdom and insight. He is also a popular speaker because his gift is appreciated and recognized by the body of Christ.
Gift of Prophecy: Jody has the gift of a prophet. She is a truth teller and is likely to be one of the first to speak up in any given situation. Jody voices herself, particularly when discerning any injustice. Jody doesn't always seek to be a public figure but offers counsel and explains the exact issue that needs to be addressed. She will also follow up to make sure her guidance is adhered.
Did you see yourself in any of these attributes? Know that God will use your spiritual gift (as His hands, feet, and mouth) to share the good news and to bless many. There are more spiritual gifts listed in Scripture, but the purpose here is reveal there are many gifts of the Spirit.
How do you know if you have the gift of discernment? Here’s a hint. Those who possess the spiritual gift of discernment can see right through smokescreens and obstacles as they uncover the truth.
The source of the gift of discernment is God. Discernment springs from the truth taught in His word. The insights that come from discernment stem from solid knowledge, understanding, and a firm belief in God's word.
Let me share some manifestations of the gift of Discernment. If you have this gift the following expressions will ring true to you:
- Are you passionate about truth?
- When you are placed in a situation where discernment is needed, do you experience an uncanny sense of knowing?
- Does scripture flood your mind as you weigh the happenings?
- Do you read between the lines?
- Are you gifted with the ability to uncover wrong or evil?
- Do you expose lies and bring them into the light of sound reason and truth?
If this depiction of discernment describes you, thank God for entrusting you with this extraordinary gift. There are many ways to use this ability. If you possess the gift of discernment, you will have the aptitude to minister as:
- a counselor – adept at exposing the missing piece that stands in the way of healing
- arbitrator – brings resolution and peace, between parties, by shedding a light on the truth, in the midst of a dispute
- decision maker – see’s the answer and quickly moves from a decision to an action
- the person in leadership – knows how to lead and discerns pitfalls and strengths in team members
Every Church is blessed with members who possess the gift of discernment. God uses those gifted to discern truth from lies; pure motives from evil intentions; and to help to settle disputes by communicating a clear picture of what the truth looks like.
Beware of Arrogance
If you have been gifted by God with the gift of Discernment beware of the dangers that come when that gift is used apart from God. Arrogance is a sure sign you are not submitted to His Lordship, nor have you recognized that it is God Himself who blessed you and desires to use your gift for His honor and glory.
A warning comes with each gift. A gift from God, not totally submitted to God and the Holy Spirit, can be misused.
Those who have been gifted with discernment may be tempted to feel superior because of their keen insights. They may be tempted to take personal credit rather than to glorify the one who gave them this gift. It is God who enables His child to discern more clearly than most.
Beware of pride, arrogance and the pitfalls of claiming the gift as inherent to you rather than bestowed on you by God.
A spiritual gift is a treasure to be cherished. Use it to honor God and bless the people He brings into your life.

Hello Carol,
Recently sent you an email (enclosed) requesting a more detailed explanation as to why CCCG is referring me to Winn Way Mental Health Service?
And I've yet to hear from you?
So I'm going to keep this email short, simple, brief, terse....
Clinical Evaluation and Court Ordered Services
We offer DUI Clinical Evaluations, Alcohol/Drug Evaluations and Interventions. These assessments may be mandated through the court, state, and/or probation officer, suggested by a lawyer, or requested by family members. The evaluations are used as a tool to determine one’s need for treatment. After the evaluation, recommendations are given as to the level of care needed.
Do you, or do you not, offer court mandated clinical evaluation for substance abuse?
Sincerely yours,
James E. Avery, D.V.M.

Hello Carol,
Would you be so kind as to expand on why I'm am being referred to Winn Way Mental Health Center? In what way is Winn Way Mental Health Center better equipped providing the help I need than our Care and Counseling Center of Georgia just up the street from where I live? Really! Would rather keep it in the neighborhood.
Please do keep in mind that I've already been on that side of Georgia's health care three times. And if I'm having to pay for it, I'd rather seek this court ordered substance abuse evaluation the place of my choosing. And I'm able seeing no reason why we can't at least start with Care and Counseling Center of Georgia? All I'm needing before my next code compliance hearing October 17, 2017 is a hard copy clinical evaluation report able putting in Judge Matthew McCoyd's hand. Maybe you are already able writing one up for our Judge McCoyd just being my neighbor up the street from me? God knows you certainly have no excuse not knowing way more about the circumstances involving defendant 1840 Mason Mill Road than Winn Way Mental Health Center.
Would this be asking too much our Care and Counseling Center of Georgia's clinical director?
Sincerely yours,

P.S. It definitely would be far more therapeutic for me being able sharing my deepest thoughts with someone of my choosing than someone else choosing. Surely this isn't an unreasonable request?
And one more thing, about a week ago, George Robert Gary, Sr. MDiv, ThD loops around the driveway of his daughter's property directly across the street from my home, and without stopping says to me, "You are doing exactly what you want to do." Until Bob Gary or any one of you "Master?of?Divinities" stop putting up barriers and start talking to me, I'm having no idea what it is you guys are thinking I'm wanting to do? That's something I'm thinking Care and Counseling Center of Georgia far better equipped providing the help I'm needing more than anything Winn Way Mental Health Center having to offer?

Hello Ingrid,
Would it be possible having subpoenaed, copies of these forms/questionnaires Chief Executive Officer Jacques Khorozian of American Alternative Court Services having me filling out before eventually terminating the court ordered substance abuse evaluation/refunding me the amount pre-paid online?
As I was filling out their questionnaire having questions mostly relating to substance abuse other than the crystal meths that is my addiction, I let it be known to Mr. Khorozian that I was interested in receiving copies of these forms/questionnaires; in addition to this Clinical Evaluation Substance Abuse Report our Honorable Judge Matthew McCoyd was expecting, from somewhere, having in his hands past October 17th code compliance hearing.
And before this, as I was filling out these forms, I asked of Mr. Khorozian, "When making this appointment, I was told this evaluation only takes thirty to forty-five minutes..? These forms/questionnaires I filling out now included in this timing? Or starting once I'm with the substance abuse counselor?"
I've already mentioned to you during our meeting Law Office of Public Defender DeKalb County that Friday after the October 17th Code Compliance Hearing how I answered question asking to whom this report could be released to: JUDGE MATTHEW MCCOYD, PUBLIC DEFENDER INGRID MCGUAGHEY, PROBATION SUPERVISOR JUMAANE DAVIS, FOX5NEWS, CBS46NEWS, WSB-TV 2 NEWS, AJC ONLINE. I remember us both laughing about this.
And again, I would like a copy of this email Mr. Khorozian having sent my probation supervisor Office Davis, after refusing my request he at least calling him as to why this court ordered evaluation terminated.
Sincerely yours,
James E. Avery, D.V.M.
P.S.
Aware that I'm having far less rights with a probation revocation hearing, am I allowed having any witnesses subpoenaed as a mitigation factor? In a way you are right about me possibly being bipolar? And I will agree with you on this point only if we were to view these signs of mine as a form of self-medicating? But I view these signs having more in common with "sagging".
Bottom line.
At least these are both non-violent forms of protest.

Hello Ingrid,
Well I'm just now getting your email responding to my last email asking about any possibilities of having witnesses subpoenaed on my behalf for a probation revocation hearing where I'm understanding guaranteed far fewer rights under the law since having been proven guilty (no longer innocent) of having too many signs in my yard citations after citations after citations having refused Assisting Solicitor-General Stephanie Graham's request that a cease and desist order be issued against my signs while at the same time, my next door, not so next door, NEXTDOOR.COM neighbors Bobby Rasulnia and Charles Bliss continue getting away with having violated DeKalb County's Green Laws day after day after day after day with their ultra green high maintenance lawn. You know the kind of lawn I'm talking about. The kind with them little bitty signs stuck in them letting you know them lawns are also toxic to pets and childrens.
And I'm aware it's probably pissing everyone off that I refused my signature allowing any information being released to anyone regarding my recent involuntary admittance to DeKalb County Crisis Unit/Georgia Regional Hospitial? Well at least it was my intention no one having access to any of this information as I haven't a fucking clue as to what these people are hearing from me or how it is they are rewriting anything I'm having to say into these records until it's too late!

Is it not true that we are too much in the habit of doing our asylum practice in routine manner? Large institutions with their numerous colonies of patients are apt to make us treat those under our care as a whole, rather than as individuals, and we are likely to regard many cases as chronic, when there should be much hope of benefit - if not cure. Of course there is likely to be a good deal of difference of opinion as to what constitutes a recovery from mental disease, and those who pose for the applause of an undiscriminating general public, can produce general averages of recoveries that are not to be understood by the uninitiated; but can we all examine ourselves and truthfully say we have done our very best for those committed to our
care?
GIVE THOUGHT.
You don't have to be a lawyer or a politician to help reform the criminal justice
system. The first change you make can be to the way you see the world.
When you read a headline or watch a news story about a criminal case, ask yourself whether you are maintaining the presumption of innocence when you think about the defendant. Ask yourself whether you have all the facts you need to understand the case.Ask yourself whether the story is being reported in a way that encourages you to assume the defendant is guilty, and ask yourself whether the real story might be more complicated than the one you see on the news.
If a story moves you, think about what larger issues it makes visible. If someone is found guilty of a crime they did not commit, then their conviction was made possible by problems that afflict the criminal justice system as a whole, and not just a single case.
Finishing a story is only the beginning. Every story you encounter gives you a chance to understand not just the society in which it took place, but that society's problems. Nowhere is this more true than when it comes to the imprisoned innocent, whose stories can help us to understand not just one person's experiences, but the most pressing problems in our criminal justice system.

If giving thought is not happening right now, right here, every day, within each and every court case our Honorable Matthew Judge McCoyd hears, and quite frankly I'm not seeing it, then the Georgia Innocence Project is just as much an inseparable part of the problems trying to correct. An example of a manipulative deceptive cognitive dissonance/dissonance reduction scheme having benefits for the founders of the Georgia Innocence Project expiating for the bias, injustices, indifference of their own introduced into these hearing without consent of their victims.
