Dear Beth, Josh, Congregation St. Mark United Methodist Church,
I still quite baffled by this letter given to me by two uniformed officers the Sunday morning of July 5th. Not quite sure yet how I'm wanting to respond to this letter quite void of details. I'm only able interpreting this as even more manipulation and deception eliminating any possibility of consent; something I'm finding all churches to be masters at performing. You should all be forced having "Hosea 6:9" tattooed across your foreheads.
The following in a link to a letter addressed to the Congregation of St Mark. that I've started; but there is too much I'm wanting to put into this letter, and writing is not my talent either. It's very much so a Methodist story through and through I'm determined getting told; with or without your help. This letter is a work in progress; but thought I'd let you get a head start reading it. Oh the KISS AND TELL I could do on so many of you; it's hard holding back. And I resent you putting me in this awkward position. I really really do.
"Everything we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see."
~Martin Luther King
Filling up a bus load of homosexuals for Selma, Alabama is too little, too late. It's laughable.
I've been gay long enough, that I'm beginning to see a slight drift of our political views to the right of the political spectrum as we gain our civil rights. What right about black civil rights if they are just going to drift to the right once gaining their civil rights..? What's right about women's civil rights if they are just going to drift to the right once gaining their rights..? What's right about gay civil rights if we are just going to drift to the right once gaining our civil rights..? What's right about animals/pets civil rights if they are just going to drift to the right once gaining their civil rights..? What's right about our trees gaining their civil rights if they are just going to drift to the right once getting their civil rights..? And now you see that God is a Republican; or just plain outright a man made invention.
As I was raised Methodist the first eighteen years of my life, the most impressionable years of my life; the only God I'm explaining myself to is Methodist! And I'm not sure there even is one..?
Hard to tell!
Hard to tell!
Sincerely yours,
James E. Avery, DVM
