About Me

My photo
Hearing impaired (tendency to appear dumb, dense, and/or aloof), orthodox atheist (believe faith more harmful than doubt), self depreciating sense of humor (confident/not to be confused with low self esteem), ribald sense of humor (satorical/mocking when sensing Condescension), confirmed bachelor (my fate if not my choosing), freakish inclination (unpredictable non-traditionalist opinions), free spirit (nor conformist bohemian) Believe others have said it better...... "Jim! You can be SO SMART, but you can be SO DUMB!" "Jim! You make such a MARTYR of yourself." "He's a nice guy, but...." "You must be from up NORTH!" "You're such a DICK!" "You CRAZY!" "Where the HELL you from?" "Don't QUITE know how to take your personality." My favorite, "You have this... NEED... to be....HONEST!"

BAMBI: THE GOLDEN YEARS...

Skipped Generation Household?

In biologysociology, and biological anthropologyalloparenting is a system of parenting in which individuals other than the parents act in a parental role.
One common form of alloparenting is a situation in which grandparents adopt a parental role. This is sometimes named a "skipped generation household". In 1997, 8% of children in the United States lived with their grandparents, with the grandparents being the caregivers in one third of those cases.

I own the property directly across. I have witnessed several unsafe conditions caused by this individual including locked braking and alarmed drivers due to brilliant colored flags being waved near traffic flow. I have witness very inappropriate language on signs. I have witness person sitting naked in lawn chair in driveway. I have had the person verbally harass me and person I have hired to perform work at my home. These behaviors are lowering property appeal and thus value in the local area.

The signage is heightened significantly at afternoon traffic times, and then reduced again. It is a very dangerous situation--we have seen people nearly run off the road as the orange flags were being waved.

My family owns 1841 Mason Mill Rd. directly across the street from 1840. The owner of 1840 has harassed my family personally and online for years without provocation. My parents moved out as a result. We may never be able to sell property with the psychotic, drug-induced behaviors and outrageous, profane displays in the front yard of 1840. Be advised that he is a relentless, sadistic provocateur who enjoys notoriety and confrontation. Thank you for your prompt action.

My family has lived across the street from this family for years and reported many problems. Please someone make this behavior stop!

I lived across from this address growing up, and witnessed and/or heard many frightening accidents on that dangerous curve over the years. The addition of bizarre and inappropriate signs and displays, and often obscene behavior, right at that dangerous curve, tips the scales significantly.

My friend Andie's grandparents own the house directly across the street and it is impossible for them to rent it out due to Jim Ed. Moreover, Ed's signage is threatening and offensive.

My grandparents live across the street from the house in question. They have faced years of harassment and they were in essence force from the home they lived in for over 60 years. I, and every other member of our family, simply want my grandparents to live their golden years in peace.

Bambi

Death is a fact of life; the question is when it’s appropriate to clue kids in on this information. Disney has occasionally come under fire for plot points that are perhaps too grim for children. Tears beyond number have been spilled by impressionable tots when Bambi’s mother is gunned down by a hunter and when Simba is orphaned during a stampede in The Lion King. These gruesome scenes have caused some outrage: a bill proposed by a British industry-watchdog group in 2004 could have banned Bambi for causing children “psychological harm,” and when The Lion King was released, the New York Times‘ Janet Maslin pondered whether Mufasa’s “disturbing on-screen death” precluded it from receiving a G rating. It’s true that in both films, the death of a parent forces the protagonist to master the requisite life skill of overcoming adversity — but some question whether many typical Disney viewers are too young to be exposed to the theme...

Chief Tecumseh

(Poem from Act of Valor)

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and
demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life,
beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a
friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all
people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy
of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only
in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones
to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are
filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep
and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

The Owl Rock United Methodist Church, located at 5880 Campbellton Road, S. W., Atlanta, at the intersection of Union Road, was organized in 1828. It is on land ceded from the Creek Indians, January 8, 1821, to form the original county of Fayette. On December 20,1828, this portion of Fayette went into the creation of Campbell County, and remained so until Campbell merged with Fulton County, January I, 1932. In this year of 1978 the Owl Rock Church and “Old Campbell County,” now South Fulton, will observe their Sesqui”Centennial, 150th Anniversary.   The Owl Rock Church was an outgrowth of the Mt. Gilead Methodist Episcopal Church for reasons of convenience to worship, and factional differences. The Mt. Gilead Church, organized in 1824, in Dekalb County, now Fulton, is approximately 7 miles from the Owl Rock Church. To travel this distance by roads and transportation available in those days was a real problem for the people living in the Owl Rock community.
Certain members of the Mt. Gilead Church, including Richmand Barge, who was an advocate of the Mutual Rights movement within the Methodist Episcopal Church, determined to withdraw from Mt. Gilead and organize a church in the community in which they lived. This new church was given the name, Owl Rock, from an eight foot natural rock formation to the rear of the present church, about midway on the eastern, wooded border of the cemetery. The Creek Indians named this the “Owl Rock,” and -carved an eye in what they considered to be the head. Weather”worn markings around the base, which were fairly visible until recent years, would establish it a “guidepoint” for Indian movement and activity. One carving would point in the direction of “Sandtown,” another to “BuzzardRoost,” and most interesting of all, the face side would have the “Owl” looking upon ceremonial grounds, now the Owl Rock Cemetery.  (You can see this natural rock formation on the main page our pastor is standing in front of it)
