** News From The Mason Mill Civic Association
------------------------------------------------------------
The DeKalb County Solicitor General's office has notified us that the code violation trial for the property owner at 1840 Mason Mill Road has been set for Thursday, January 26, at 9 a.m. The trial will be in the main courthouse in downtown Decatur (556 N. McDonough Street) in courtroom C on the first floor. If any of this changes we will let you know.
We encourage any of you who are interested and can attend the trial to do so. It is important that we continue to communicate that we care about our neighborhood and are concerned about the flagrant code violations exhibited by this property owner.
If you need/want a ride to the courthouse, please respond to this email and the civic association's leadership team will try and arrange for transportation.

Greetings To All My Virtual (NEXTDOOR.COM) Neighbors,
They say it's hard to do the right thing. It's not hard to do the right thing; it's just hard knowing what the right thing to do is? Once you do know; it's hard not doing the right thing. A good man, a well as important adding...a good woman... this day and age... our ...half of the world, is not without sin; they admit, then expiate.
If there is one thing I am certain about, it's not me who is not doing the right thing; as it relates to "inappropriate" signage 1840 Mason Mill Road.
Sincerely yours,
James E. Avery, D.V.M.
P.S.
A BALANCED AND A TRAGIC VISION OF HUMANKIND
There is a fragile line between raw emotional intelligence and emotional competency. One kind of plays with an invisible fire, where the rules are rewritten by forces of education, tradition and vulnerability inside the wires of the brain cells, mirror neuron mind and its neuroscience factors.
What can one believe
... in the end...
is that we are in a body with limitation and in a mind with huge capacities but with powerful black holes.
And... one can...think...
about working with the flow of the river of the snap social decisions and the personal myths and fictions one constructs through the elements of culture, education and each own physical bodies.
So...
It appears we have, as an option, a balance vision of humankind as well. Unfortunately you do not share that vision with me.
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss of a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Geaux make America great again,
Simply Jim
