PETITION UPDATE
1840 Mason Mill Code Violation Trial- January 26, 9am
JAN 6, 2017 — Good Morning Petition Supporters,
It's been quiet a while that we have communicated an update to the group. We've months of discussion and collaboration with the County since the last update. In addition, over these past months, the property has been monitored by the County and has cited close to 30 code violations tickets to the property owner.
The DeKalb County Solicitor General's office has notified us that the code violation trial for the property owner at 1840 Mason Mill Road has been set for Thursday, January 26, at 9 a.m. The trial will be in the main courthouse in downtown Decatur (556 N. McDonough Street) in courtroom C on the first floor. If any of this changes we will let you know.
We had fantastic community representation at the last hearing. We continue to encourage any of you who are interested and can attend the trial to do so. It is important that we continue to communicate that we care about our neighborhood and are concerned about the flagrant code violations exhibited by this property owner.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
