About Me

My photo
Hearing impaired (tendency to appear dumb, dense, and/or aloof), orthodox atheist (believe faith more harmful than doubt), self depreciating sense of humor (confident/not to be confused with low self esteem), ribald sense of humor (satorical/mocking when sensing Condescension), confirmed bachelor (my fate if not my choosing), freakish inclination (unpredictable non-traditionalist opinions), free spirit (nor conformist bohemian) Believe others have said it better...... "Jim! You can be SO SMART, but you can be SO DUMB!" "Jim! You make such a MARTYR of yourself." "He's a nice guy, but...." "You must be from up NORTH!" "You're such a DICK!" "You CRAZY!" "Where the HELL you from?" "Don't QUITE know how to take your personality." My favorite, "You have this... NEED... to be....HONEST!"

MATTHEW 6:25-26 (Biblegateway)-Jesus Teaches about Cares of Life

Matthew 6:25-26
New Life Version
(NLV)

Jesus Teaches about Cares of Life

25 “I tell you this: Do not worry about your life. Do not worry about what you are going to eat and drink. Do not worry about what you are going to wear. Is not life more important than food? Is not the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds in the sky. They do not plant seeds. They do not gather grain. They do not put grain into a building to keep. Yet your Father in heaven feeds them! Are you not more important than the birds?

***

One sunny afternoon I was sitting in the sun room overlooking my back yard.

All of a sudden I saw a blue jay appearing just outside the windows along one side of the sun room, then rapidly doing a bank turn and immediately disappearing into the leaves of a sizable red bud tree just the other side of a fence running down the property line.

Just as the blue jay disappears into this tree, a young hawk appears doing exactly the same thing!

At the same time the hawk disappears into this tree, the blue jay appears again flying over the top of this red bud tree then right by me; just the other side of the window.

Then the hawk.
I will never forget the expression on that blue jay's face.

Yet your Father in heaven feeds them raptors too!

And this all makes me wonder back to my days while at Louisiana State University,
 studying...
 to be a veterinarian.

What was the purpose of raptor rehabilitation?

Maybe why it was more of a club than a requirement?

Might as well go watch a cock fight.
