DEAR PRETTY BOY SUNDAY: DIVISIONS IN THE CORINTHIAN CHURCH

"Mother.

Do you realize, churches are mainly for the women and their children.  Men just go to church networking for their business."
~(Simply Jim:  One Pearl, Total Pig, Anti-Christ)~

"Funny you should say that.
Your father took us to church once just to network for his business.  But your father's practice became successful almost overnight;  a doctor here in Prescott had been killed in a car accident.
He never took us back again. "

1 Corinthians 3
Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition
(RSVCE)

On Divisions in the Corinthian Church

3 But I, brethren, could not address you as spiritual men, but as men of the flesh, as babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not ready for it; and even yet you are not ready, 3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and behaving like ordinary men? 4 For when one says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apol′los,” are you not merely men?

5 What then is Apol′los? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apol′los watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are equal, and each shall receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers;[a] you are God’s field, God’s building.

10 According to the commission of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it. 11 For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble— 13 each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day[b] will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

As marauders lie in ambush for a victim,
so do bands of priests;
they murder on the road to Shechem,
carrying out their wicked schemes.

Dear Rev. Josh,

I haven't heard anything from your office about a meeting between, you, me, and Rev. Dr. Alice. It was my impression when I left that this meeting was going to happen. Originally I was only wanting an hour minimum with Alice to discuss a concern of mine as it would relate to counseling for my crystal meths addiction from a place such as Pastoral Care Of Georgia.

After running into BJ and observing her behavior when only coming by to drop off two hula hoops I thought would make a clever invitation, reminders, as well as props that could be used during our conversations about set theories and how it relates to ecumenism; I'm not so sure now.

I've since realized that you had interrupted my conversation with Sara your communications director; and maybe wrong in assuming you heard the first part about just an hour minimum with Alice and the topic I wanted to get out of the way first. May not even take an hour.

Well, I've given you enough, from my perspective at least anyway, how I justify me seeking these answers at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church as my mother is still a member there; as well as older than Bob and Janet Gary. Maybe even still driving her car. Haven't asked. We are no longer talking at my insistence.
Please let me know that you have received this email, at least, as your church is not the only one I've consulted with. They all seem to be having problems with receiving their emails, so some of them have claimed when showing up with a hard copy in person. I'm just assuming Alice is having problems with her emails as well.

Sincerely,

Simply Jim, DVM: Herd Health Medicine~(Purgatory)~Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down?

James,

Thank you for the visit and the email. I'm out of town until Tuesday and I will touch base with Alice when I return about a time when we can all three chat. Until then, I'm grateful for your patience as we try to coordinate schedules. Be well.

Blessings,

Hello Josh,

Sorry to be such a pest, but please make an attempt understanding life from my perspective.

"Do not conclude until understanding. Once understanding, do not judge."

Without more information, I am un"ABEL" understanding.

Until then,

"I can of my own self do nothing: as I sense, I judge: and my judgement is just; not because I seek my own will but the will of thy father who has sent me."

Just want to know how much progress we've made toward setting a date for our meeting with Alice.

In the meantime, could you ask Alice this question for me, and either you are Alice let me know of this answer:

If marooned on an island with unlimited food and water, which would Alice rather have for companionship....1) a blue Macaw or 2) turtles?

Why?

James,

I want to explain to you the delay in our response regarding a meeting. It has come to our attention that you are not allowed on the campus of Emory University or the grounds of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, in accordance with restraining orders held by Emory Police. This is why we cannot invite you here for a meeting, and we want you to be cautioned that the staff is now aware of these circumstances.

In our conversations with Beth LaRocca-Pitts, we have also been made aware of the resources to which she directed you for assistance—particularly the Meth-Recovery meeting held at St. Mark UMC and a mental health facility. Alice and I agree, based on the brief encounters that we have had with you, that you would be best served by programs such as these. Neither of us are equipped to address the concerns you have regarding your addiction or the problems you are experiencing with certain members of this and other churches.

I would be happy to meet with you at one of the Emory Village restaurants to pray and to listen, but that is all I am able to offer you at this time. Again, to avoid a possibly damaging altercation, let me caution you that the staff here is aware of the restraining orders against you by Emory and Glenn Memorial and will have to call Emory Police should you come on campus again.

God’s peace,

josh

Hello Josh,

I was not aware that I was not allowed on the campus of Emory University or Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. The only restraining order I'm aware of had a one year limitation. This all sounds pretty much the same perniciousness and prevarications.

And what happened to "no matter who you are or what you have done or left undone you will be welcomed at Glenn. No matter where you are on your faith road journey you are welcomed at Glenn."

Really....I'm I going to have to get a lawyer? Is this what it's coming too?

Answer one question for me Josh, did my mother fail me by taking me to that Methodist Church in Prescott, Arkansas as a child which I continued to be a part of until 18 years of age. You certainly are failing her. And this being a church on the campus of a liberal arts and science university. Can't even arraign for a fair hearing/clearing of the facts.

James Wagner said it himself, "sign of true intelligence is ability holding two conflicting thoughts at the same time and still being able to function."

You have failed.

I've already told you my opinion on John 3:16 ... "Christianity In a Nutshell".....being nothing more than a cognitive dissonance/dissonance reduction chart; nothing more, nothing less. That make you pretty much a dope dealer yourself...you are not innocent...."Pretty Boy Sunday."

There is no such thing as hate being the short end of the same stick it much share with love. You guys have turned "love' into an obscene word.

You really do need to get off that stool and read more books.

Hello Josh,

Curious....what has happened to those two hula hoops I dropped off as a reminder of our meeting that isn't going to happen. Took you a while planning your last email informing me of your reasons not following through with this meeting.

As far as my plans with the hula hoops, was going to place you inside one of them as an example of a bad Christian since you are only an Associate pastor with Glenn Memorial UMC. Of course this would put Alice inside the other hula hoop as an example of a good Christian although just magna cum laude; in other words room for improvement still. It was my plan showing up with my hula hoop as well; having you two try explaining who's goes inside my hula hoop or not as someone not a Christian?

I absolutely was going to refuse playing that game; seeing myself already standing on my set....PALE BLUE DOT...which unfortunately includes you two as well whether we like it or not.

Rev. Fish at United Methodist Church of Prescott, Arkansas, a pastor I've never met but hear about through my phone conversations with my mother all those years, told my mother it wasn't his place to say who was a Christian and who wasn't? Although I was impressed with the answer he gave my mother and thought mighty brave of him, can't help but wonder whose place is it?

Of course I expected you two saying this is not how ecumenism works. Honestly, do not see how you two can believe in a God any differently than me. We just have a pragmatic competence problem. Well you two do anyway at least with your congregation; many giving their consent silently going along with this appearance of having a centralized set ( minus gay clergy being bounded set) ecumenism based on nothing but an assumption from the very start you as Methodist ministers espoused; the rest just rather not knowing the truth.

That what you ministers get paid doing..to be....HUMAN SUNDAYS. It's just another job. And anything you do on the clock does not count toward moral behavior.

I can see why Methodist ministers are guaranteed placement along with a nice pension plan waiting for you. Believing takes practice; it's always has. You guys are just facilitators. Can't help but find it amusing how you are referred to as shepherds watching over their flocks; just to be butchered later. Once man figured out, just stop chasing them and they will stop running away from you; all that was necessary then was keeping the "OTHER" predators away and watching their interest grow...tax free!

+
"IF THE LAWS OF PHYSIC WERE TO HOLD TRUE, WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN WHEN REMAINING POSITIVE?

ME!!!

This is manipulation and deception eliminating the possibility of consent. And this is not even going into, "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; even more manipulation and deception. This is being just way to presumptuous.

And another deception, how it really takes only one member of a household, usually the wife, giving the whole household the appearance of being a Christian household. Same thing said differently, "who plays the role of the dummy so the others can follow the money?"

Same thing said even another way,
"TAKE ONE TO MASTURBATE, TWO TO PROCREATE, THREE BEFORE ANYONE FUCKED! FUCKED! FUCKED!"

This one probably explains why not in a hurry removing the ordinance from by-law barring avowed practicing homosexuals as ordained ministers.

Oh! Here''s another one,
"ONCE 1/2 (Rt. vs. Lt. Brain) GETS THEIR MAN, THE OTHER HALF STOPS WORKING."

In other words,
"FUCKED WITH CHILDREN";
the most abused justification of them all.

"Pastoral Care" most likely just a way of milking more money out of congregation members having guilty consciences due to past transgression; without having the victim's consent. For example, how the Methodists fund black related charities due to past discrimination by White Methodists. This really isn't a true worship of god but of a "calf that's gold plated" or even closer still to what I believe the lesson to be learned from "Wrestling Jacob" and his man-MAL.

I'm sure they don't part with this money any better than Jacob.

So!!! I guess I should wrap this up.

What did the "TORTOISE" and the "PEDOPHILE" have in common?
They both get there before the "HARE" does.

About these two hula hoops we will no longer be needing,
and I've mentioned this to Sara your Communications Director...
was planning on donating them to what looked like a children day care facility near the DeKalb County Jail when we were done playing with them ourselves; discussing set theories as they relate to ecumenism.

And having a pretty strong suspicion these children are not Methodist either.

Any way of me getting them back? God forbid I get arrested by the Emory Police showing up just asking for them back. Just too funny it's sad really. Really, really, sad.

You have trashed many good memories had of growing up that Methodist Church small town of Prescott, Arkansas. They will never be the same again.

This and your previous emails are unnecessarily vulgar and belligerent. I am forwarding them along to Emory Police for their records. If you enter the facilities at Glenn Memorial again, there will be no conversation, rather the police will be called immediately.

I can only encourage you again to seek help from a Meth Addiction Recovery Program or a mental health facility, as you have been directed in the past.

Dear Josh,

In your last email to me, you said you would be willing to meet me at Emory Village to listen and pray only; that was all you could offer.

I don't understand???

I was expecting a prayer. You could have just deleted it without reading it.... if that meeting at Emory Village would never have taken place as well. I consider an email drafted but not sent to be no different.  Or even thought but not drafted.

I asked legit questions in the previous two email regarding whether my mother failed me in continuing taking me to First United Methodist Church of Prescott, Arkansas and about retrieving the two hula hoops. No big deal about the hula hoops. Will just go and buy two more. Definitely not showing up at this daycare center just to donate one hula hoop.

Can't help but reminded of a cartoon I once came across. Will send it to you.

I am able forgiving. Been having to be the one doing this all my life. This really isn't about me. This is about sharing my life experiences with others and what I've have learned from them.. You are going to have to have a healthy balance of negativity as well.

"Experience is just nature cruel way of giving the exams first followed by their lessons.".

You are being way too sensitive/defensive most likely suggesting what were only my conjectures to be correct. If you are not able successfully defending your perspective, then only you know how best correcting this problem.

Read up on Tecumseh and his poem about life. Glenn's response to the Bishop letter regarding homosexuals ordained as minister reminded me of this poem; especially the part about...

"reaching our recommendation because we believe that Jesus’ new commandment “[t]hat you love one another as I have loved you,” predominates over all other concerns elicited in our
discussions. Loving God and loving neighbor must be our practice, even when honest and intelligent minds may disagree on lesser issues. On the issue of Paragraph 304.3, or any other,
when we speak or act presumptively, dismissively, or even disparagingly of any viewpoint that is not our own, we are failing to love our neighbors."

It's not possible. Sounds pretty. But not possible.

And then you need having the personality that's willing to make the effort selflessly realizing Tecumseh wrote this poem at the same time the fledgling U.S. was fighting two wars on two fronts: the war of 1812 on one front and against Tecumseh's coalitions of tribes with British help trying to stop us from taking over their land.  Hope there is no need explaining the hypocrisy here. In fact Owl Rock Methodist Church where Bert Gary is pastor?now even admits this Church being built on land ceded by the Indians.

"Then you have to realize another exclusionary assumption made again....
Through Bob Gary’s expert combination of modern
psychology and recent theology with Christian teachings of humility and love for one another, our commitment to listen and disagree respectfully and humbly to our fellow Christians has
grown, and that is a blessing."

Apparently un-Christian opinions do not matter.

"The Common Table recognizes that while we do not all share the same beliefs, we all share one
foundational belief: Jesus Christ, Son of the one true God, was born, lived, died and was raised
from the dead that we might live."

(THIS IS NOT THE WAY I UNDERSTAND ROMANS 6:9)

Bob Gary, trained in facilitating the reconciliation of factions having divergent views on
important issues within an organization, led our Common Table. Bob is recognized nationally as
a leader in this art, especially among churches. He graciously donated his time and skill for this
task to Glenn. The Common Table acknowledges with heartfelt thanks and affection his work
and guidance, and urges the Church Council and Glenn to recognize his contribution to our
church in this endeavor.

We have grown closer together in this journey through our reflection on what we shared. In spite
of differences of opinion in the Common Table and in the congregation, we members of the
Common Table rejoice in our efforts. Through Bob Gary’s expert combination of modern
psychology and recent theology with Christian teachings of humility and love for one another,
our commitment to listen and disagree respectfully and humbly to our fellow Christians has
grown, and that is a blessing. The Common Table believes that the Church should be a place
where everyone is welcome and everyone is given the unconditional love and acceptance to
which all of God’s children are entitled.

We reached our recommendation because we believe that Jesus’ new commandment “[t]hat you
love one another as I have loved you,” predominates over all other concerns elicited in our
discussions. Loving God and loving neighbor must be our practice, even when honest and
intelligent minds may disagree on lesser issues. On the issue of Paragraph 304.3, or any other,
when we speak or act presumptively, dismissively, or even disparagingly of any viewpoint that is
not our own, we are failing to love our neighbors.

Out of concern for the welfare of all God’s people, and, out of special concern for the people of The United Methodist
Church, we, United Methodist Bishops – retired, believe The United Methodist Church should remove the following
statement from The Book of Discipline (2008):

“…The practice of homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching. Therefore self-avowed practicing
homosexuals are not to be certified as candidates, ordained as ministers, or appointed to serve in The United
Methodist Church.” ¶304.3

Closeted pastors, currently called and ordained in our church, living divided lives while offering effective
appreciated ministry.

Bishops caught between care for the Church by reappointing an effective gay or lesbian pastor and care for
the Discipline by charging them under current legislation.

We considered the views of other congregations in our North Georgia Conference and those of
Methodist churches throughout the United States and the world. We also considered whether a
repeal of the provision could impact the national and worldwide Methodist church. We discussed
the fact that ordained Methodist ministers are guaranteed a position as pastor in a church and
whether that factor should be considered relevant to the consideration of the issues raised by the

This is a challenge/test I'm putting you through. How much ability for empathy do you have?

p.s.

Is it fair for one's problem to be considered a psychosis when the triggers for his supposedly bipolarism (a medical misnomer) is the survivors/confirmation bias of others.

I'm not about to pay Care and Counseling Center of Georgia $130.00/hour for counseling. However, I'm am willing to allow Emory University providing me with a counselor of their choosing only on the condition I can audiotape these sessions individually as well as comparing these audio taped sessions with copies of note made by counselor collected at each following sessions.

And I as live alone, no one to concur with at all except a cat, these will be uploaded to my blog for my protection against the congeniality biases of other.

We all have them. There is no escaping this reality; except to recognize they exist and make every effort confronting them.

Although just a veterinarian, I have very reasonable insider's reasons for insisting on it being done this way.

I could go on and on and on as to my fairness, but would this matter if your mind is already set; protective of something else?

One more thing, I stopped paying (although I can afford them) the premiums on my health insurance. I am now an avid Obama supporter in violation of OBAMACARE.

IT"S BEING TOTALLY HONEST WITH MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS.

JUST BECAUSE YOU DON"T LIKE HEARING WHAT I"M NEEDING TO SAY, NOT THE SAME THING AS SAYING NOT NEEDED HEARING IT.
